Winx

Winx stepped out for an exhibition gallop today at Royal Randwick with Hugh Bowman on board. The star mare travelled nicely over the 1000 meters and now Chris Waller is deciding whether to bring her back in the Apollo Stakes (1400m, Randwick, 13 Feb) or the Millie Fox Stakes (1300m, Rosehill, 20 Feb). The Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) will be the major target for Winx, this Autumn, where she is currently a dominant favourite.

Looks like Winx will return in the Apollo Stakes after Bowman told Waller "she's ready to go". The four year old mare dashed home over the last 600 meters in 35.44 seconds.
